      What? You mean the terrorist who was arrested for trying to blow up a house of parliament? What’s problematic about that?

          He was a papist (i.e. a Catholic theocrat) who was fighting against the Protestant theocracy in England. He wanted to replace a Protestant theocracy with a Catholic theocracy.

          That’s about all I know. I’m not an expert or anything.

        you’re confusing the actual Guy Fawkes with the symbol of Guy Fawkes….
        it means something quite different now

            yeah ok, “steve from myspace”….
            i’ll take your advice on what’s “cringe” or not….
            honestly every time people use the word cringe in that way, i actually have the physical reaction of cringing….
